Born in Italy in 1974, I started fishing very young. At the age of 8, I caught my first trout spinning in a mountain stream in northern Italy. I started fishing in the sea shortly after, at 14 I spent summer nights fishing in ports or on the beach. At 15 I discovered the Canary Islands, where I still live and where I moved to live in 1996. Since then I have always worked in fishing charters. Graduated from the Naval Polytechnic of Arrecife, since 2017 I have been on board a Riviera 48, specialized in big game fishing for marlin and tuna in Atlantic waters. I have been IGFA REP. for Lanzarote and Graciosa since 1999. 

Born in Italy in 1976, I started fishing really young with my grandfather on a small island in the Mediterranean Sea called Isola D’Elba. At age of 8 I seen the first Marlin of my life but was on a television fishing show. Since then billfish was my obsession. I had to wait 5 more years before I saw one for real. It was during a family vacation in Cabo S Lucas, and that day I decide that I’ll be doing that for life.

I’ve been super lucky to fish some incredible destinations like Cape Verde, Azores, Ascension, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Mexico, Costa Rica, Tanzania, Kenya, & Australia."
At the moment I’m based in Mohammedia Morocco, where I run ‘One More’ - a GameFisherman 40 ft. Morocco is well known for the high numbers of White Marlin that pass in front of the mounts of August and September.

I never would have imagined to have this great passion. It wasn’t until I moved to Puerto Morelos, in the Mexican Caribbean, that people started taking me fishing, and I started catching small fish. But it wasn’t until June 2014 that I was invited to a women’s trolling tournament, and from the moment I caught my first sailfish, I knew I had to keep fishing for these beautiful specimens. Afterward, I went fishing in several famous Mexican fishing destinations, such as Los Cabos, La Paz and Puerto Vallarta, and other countries like Costa Rica and Martinique. My dream is to continue traveling to discover more fishing destinations.

A youthful life dedicated to spearfishing with fair results until the electrocution for fishing from a boat occurred in 1990 during a vacation in Ponza, where trying trolling with rudimentary means, I was lucky enough to catch medium-sized amberjack specimens that radically changed my point of view: without realizing it I had contracted the rod fishing virus, a disease that nowadays still has no effective cure... Since 1990 I then began to perfect the various techniques, making mistakes and learning, reading and trying and always with the help of a valid nautical means, a mandatory condition for my passion.
Then in 1998 the first dinghy equipped for fishing and in 2004 the first little boat a bit more technical and the first participations in regional and national coastal and offshore trolling competitions, which is perhaps the discipline I still prefer.
Then in 2009 the big step of buying a true American style fisherman but strictly made in Italy, the trusty AL 25 Idefix, known throughout the Italian sport fishing scene, with which I directly participated in numerous Italian championships and many national trophies.
Contextually many collaborations with leading companies in the sector, magazines and video productions up to real sponsorships that have become currently a very important part of my sport fishing activity made possible also thanks to these collaborations.
Among the various fishing experiences I have had the good fortune to meet a young offshore trolling enthusiast, pure and simple and damn sick for imperial garfish, our sailfish, the creature that most embodies the typical adversary of the sport fisherman.
And it is precisely during an Italian championship in Trani in 2021 that friend and teammate Davide Acone tells me about his idea of creating his own line of lures designed just for our target, but not ordinary lures, simply the best ...and he gives me a couple of them as a preview to try them out.
The rest I would say is history, the story of a great passion and a lot of dedication that together with the unfailing Italic geniality can only lead to excellent results.
My favorite artificial? Even the walls know it, the swaggering purple and black Jet Monkey strictly customized with IDEFIX logo.

There is no recollection in my mind of a stage in my life when I was not damnably attracted to water, whether it was a stream, a lake, a puddle or the sea... from an early age all I did was look for aquatic life forms to fish for.
My first real fishing experiences were in scuba diving, a technique that I practiced with incredible consistency for over 10 years, without neglecting many rod fishing techniques, especially from land: bolognese, surfcasting, spinning, and in the summer time light trolling from the boat. Then the first fishing trip in 2006, to Cabo Verde, during which I was literally thunderstruck by deep-sea trolling, so much so that I was driven to try it for the first times also in Italy, with a focus on imperial garfish, but at first with very poor results. Numerous other ocean fishing trips followed: several times in the Maldives, as many in Costa Rica, then Madeira, Morocco, with a few lines spun in Polynesia and Kenya as well. Trips during which I absorbed experiences that I was able to mix with those that I had accumulated in the meantime in the Mediterranean as well, bringing out my own idea and “style” of deep-sea trolling, often out of the chorus compared to the Mediterranean panorama.
Over the years I have collaborated with major fishing publications and magazines, as well as Ambassador for major companies in the fishing and boating industry.
Then in 2020 an intuition, a desire... to create a company specializing in offshore trolling, with a major focus on kona, and with the intention of trying to revolutionize the existing scenario up to that time. The first ideas, the first designs, the first prototypes... the first results in fishing. And in 2021, together with Marco Maraziti, White Monkey was officially born!
To date, we have never stopped designing, prototyping, and testing our products around the World, spinning our lures in the best fishing spots, ready to evaluate them with extreme criticality, to bring to market only those that are able to really make a difference in the wake!
